There are a lot of new boys in England and it’s really important that they lift weights and look good when the cameras are rolling.

It’s also important that Ellis Genge’s tastes look equally imposing in case Warren Gatland is spending time in Jersey watching workout clips in England. In fact, this is likely to happen, as Gatland will be looking to salvage Eddie Jones’ ideas so he can use them to beat South Africa.

The most surprising thing is that Eddie was available to train the English players as we understand he worked hard between forming the Royston Vasey U15 tug of war team and watching the Blackpool Young team League of Legends Offenders, although unfortunately Fat Kev from the Apartments was not present as he had violated his most recent ASBO.

In any case, it’s really worth the detour:

Earlier this week, Sean Robinson was withdrawn from the England squad due to an MCL knee injury suffered in training. It will undergo further evaluation this week, but will not be available for the remainder of the summer series.

Josh McNally was called up and joined the rest of the squad at The Lensbury, Teddington, where they are based for training camp until Friday.

Eddie Jones’ side will meet on Sunday ahead of the England A v Scotland A match the following weekend at Mattioli Woods Welford Road, Leicester (Sunday June 27, 2 p.m. KO).
