Emeka Ilione and Sam Edwards have been included in the England Under-20 squad for their U20 Six Nations game against Italy.

The Leicester Tigers duo are two of six changes made to the squad by England U20 head coach Alan Dickens on Friday February 11 at the Stadio Comunale di Monigo in Treviso.

England won their first away game against Scotland, 24-41.

Ilione has yet to appear for the Tigers this season following a pre-season injury, while Edwards made his senior debut on the bench against Wasps in the second leg of the 21/22 Premiership Rugby Cup.

Previewing the game, Dickens said: “The players were pleased with the performance against Scotland, particularly their ability to take control of the second half.”

“We had another great week of training and saw some new faces at camp. The level of competition within the team is something that really impressed me.

“Italy will be a solid team at home, but the boys are looking forward to our second away trip and to get back on the pitch in Treviso and improve on last week’s performance.

“Last week’s match was special for the players and as a team, as 19 players made their U20 debut. Their performance that night demonstrates the unity of the players and their willingness to work hard for each other.”
