Bernard Tomic gets fully vaccinated ahead of Australian Open
Bernard Tomic is now fully vaccinated as he received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. “Feel the second jab. Hopefully better tomorrow,” Tomic captioned an Instagram story. Tomic has had a rough few years, but his fire for the game has returned and he is determined to bounce back in 2022.
“I’ve had a lot of hate in my life. But I can’t give up. Don’t you think I see hateful comments? It hurts,” Tomic said on Instagram. “In the past, I used to get caught up and react out of stupidity.
But now I use it for fuel. “I’m back. I’m hungry and I’m ready. No one can stop me now except me.” I work out, I sweat, I push, I’m excited. Whatever it takes to come back to the top.
“Hard work pays off. I put my sweat and my tears into this sport. I came back before. It’s time to set the record straight.”
Tomic was about to retire
Tomic openly admitted a few years ago that he felt exhausted and that tennis was not something he enjoyed.
“I quit playing two and a half years ago. I was like ‘I’m done with it’. I had outside distractions,” said Tomic. “But I miss that a bit now too to be honest.” Tomic recently changed his life by going vegan.
Tomic has revealed that world number 1 Novak Djokovic inspired him to go vegan. “You know I went vegan two and a half years ago, three years ago and I love it, it’s an amazing feeling,” Tomic said. “A lot of successful people are vegans.
I actually took inspiration from Novak so it’s something I tried that worked for me. I don’t think I’ll ever start eating anything else again, so I’m a proud vegan. ”
