AVT Australia launches CM62 micro-gimbal in ground forces – sUAS news
From June 1, 2021, AVT Australia will launch its CM62 Micro Gimbal in Land
Forces, at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Center. The gimbal will be on display at the AVT Australia booth (# 1P3), alongside the AVT Australia range of imaging systems for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR).
The CM62 Micro Gimbal is an innovative multisensor imaging system that combines high definition electro-optical (EO) imaging and a custom long-wave infrared (LWIR) core in a compact 260g system. Developed under a Defense Innovation Center (DIH) contract, the CM62 delivers high-performance intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) services in a small, lightweight, low-power system to improve future small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) operations.
“We are proud to announce the public launch of the Micro Gimbal CM62, which
provide innovative surveillance capabilities for UAS Group 1 missions, “said Joel Pineiro, Managing Director of AVT Australia,” The CM62 represents a new generation of miniature surveillance systems capable of providing
daylight and thermal imaging, with superior on-board processing functionality, in one system
that weighs as little as 260g. This system will have a significant impact on the future.
warfighter during sUAS operations. “
For the very first time, the Micro Gimbal CM62 will be on display to the public. AVT Australia encourages delegates to view the system at the AVT Australia booth (# 1P3) at Land Forces.
